Host a Little Folkies ticketed event

Looking for a special live music experience for the families in your community?

Little Folkies partners with play spaces, kids' stores, family clubs, bookstores, community centers, farms, children's organizations, museums, festivals, schools, and other family-focused venues to bring joyful live music experiences to local families.

Choose from an intimate Pop-Up Music Circle or a larger Little Folkies Family Concert, led by a certified Little Folkies teacher or Little Folkies creator Irena Eide.

We offer three simple ways to host an event depending on whether you want to offer the event for free, manage your own ticket sales, or have Little Folkies handle ticketing.

Your organization pays the applicable flat performance fee, and families attend the event free of charge.

PROMOTION IS A PARTNERSHIP

Successful ticketed events happen when we work together to spread the word.

Little Folkies promotes ticketed events through our available marketing channels, and host venues are expected to actively promote the event to their own families and local community.

Promotion may include:

  • Email newsletters

  • Social media posts and stories

  • Website and event calendar listings

  • In-venue signage

  • Flyers and posters

  • Parent, customer, or member communications

  • Local parent and community groups

Little Folkies provides promotional graphics, event descriptions, flyers, and registration links to make sharing easy.

The stronger we promote together, the more successful the event can be.

Final ticket pricing, capacity, sales deadlines, minimum guarantees, revenue share, and event details are confirmed as part of the booking agreement.

WHAT MAKES A GREAT LITTLE FOLKIES VENUE?

We're looking for spaces that are:

  • Safe and toddler-friendly

  • Welcoming to babies, young children, and caregivers

  • Appropriate for live acoustic music

  • Large enough for at least 8 children plus caregivers

  • Accessible to families

  • Easy to find and get to

  • Available at a consistent weekly day and time

  • Supported by a venue excited to help build the program

We'll ask you to share photos and a 360° video of the proposed class space so we can understand the layout and determine appropriate class capacity.

what families experience

Little Folkies Pop-Up Music Circles and Family Concerts bring families together through live acoustic folk music, singing, dancing, movement, storytelling, instruments, and playful audience participation.

Children and grown-ups are invited to sing along, move, dance, listen, play, and become part of the music. From familiar folk songs to original Little Folkies favorites, each event is designed to feel relaxed, joyful, and interactive.

There’s no need to sit still or stay quiet—babies can wiggle, toddlers can dance, kids can sing, and grown-ups can join right in.

It’s a live music experience created for families to connect, participate, and make music together.
